About Us
Pragma Journals is an open-access publisher of sixteen peer-reviewed journals, covering clinical medicine, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, neuroscience, oncology, immunology, women's and children's health, nanomedicine and engineering.
Our starting point is practical: research should be easy to find, free to read and useful to the people who treat patients, shape policy and teach the next generation. Each journal has its own editorial board, and editorial decisions rest with those editors alone. Pragma Journals looks after everything around them: the publishing platform, production, DOI registration, long-term preservation and the policies that keep the process fair.
What we stand for
- Open access by default. Every article is free to read online from publication.
- Authors keep their copyright. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
- Careful peer review. Submissions go through double-blind review by at least two independent experts.
- Research integrity. Manuscripts are screened for similarity with iThenticate, and we follow the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
- Permanent links and preservation. Articles receive Crossref DOIs and are archived through the PKP Preservation Network.
