Aim & Scope

Engineering is where scientific understanding becomes infrastructure, devices and systems that people depend on. The Journal of Engineering Sciences and Future Technologies (JESFT) publishes research across the engineering disciplines and on the emerging technologies that will shape them.

We welcome rigorous theoretical, computational and experimental work, and we particularly value research with a clear route to real-world application.

Scope

JESFT publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Civil, structural and geotechnical engineering
  • Mechanical and manufacturing engineering
  • Electrical, electronic and communication engineering
  • Computer science, artificial intelligence and data engineering
  • Materials science and engineering
  • Energy systems and renewable technologies
  • Environmental engineering and sustainability
  • Robotics, automation and control
  • Biomedical engineering
  • Emerging and future technologies

Peer Review

Every submission goes through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject. The usual time from submission to first editorial decision is 12–14 weeks. See the Peer Review Policy for details.

Originality

All manuscripts are screened for similarity with iThenticate before they go to reviewers, as set out in the Plagiarism Policy.

Open Access and Licensing

JESFT is fully open access. Authors keep the copyright in their work, which is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Article Processing Charges
