Aim & Scope
Injury and pain limit what people can do, whether they are elite athletes or simply trying to keep walking. The Journal of Sports Medicine and Pain Management (JSMPM) publishes clinical research on keeping people active and on relieving pain safely.
We want work that clinicians, physiotherapists and pain specialists can use, and that is careful about the difference between what works in theory and what works for patients.
Scope
JSMPM publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:
- Sports injuries: prevention, diagnosis and treatment
- Musculoskeletal and orthopaedic sports medicine
- Rehabilitation and physiotherapy
- Exercise physiology and performance
- Acute and chronic pain management
- Interventional and pharmacological pain therapies
- Opioid stewardship and non-opioid analgesia
- Concussion and head injury in sport
