Aim & Scope

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, and much of it is preventable or treatable. The Journal of Heart and Cardiovascular Science (JHCS) publishes clinical and translational research that helps close the gap between what cardiology can do and what patients actually receive.

We want studies that inform decisions at the bedside, in the catheter lab and in prevention programmes.

Scope

JHCS publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes
  • Heart failure and cardiomyopathies
  • Arrhythmias and electrophysiology
  • Hypertension and vascular disease
  • Valvular and structural heart disease
  • Interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery
  • Cardiovascular imaging
  • Preventive cardiology and risk factors
  • Congenital heart disease
  • Cardio-oncology and cardiometabolic disease
