Aim & Scope
Diabetes and obesity now touch almost every clinical specialty and almost every health system. The Journal of Clinical Diabetes and Obesity (JCDO) publishes the clinical and applied research that helps people with these conditions live longer and better.
We are most interested in work that changes practice: how treatments perform in real patients, how complications can be caught earlier, and how care can reach people who currently go without it.
Scope
JCDO publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in areas including, but not limited to:
- Type 1, type 2, gestational and other forms of diabetes
- Obesity, its causes, measurement and treatment
- Pharmacotherapy, including insulin, GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors
- Bariatric and metabolic surgery
- Diabetic complications: cardiovascular, renal, retinal and neuropathic
- Prediabetes, metabolic syndrome and prevention
- Diabetes technology, including CGM and insulin pumps
- Nutrition, lifestyle and behavioural interventions
- Paediatric and adolescent diabetes and obesity
- Epidemiology, health systems and policy
